Incredible 2nd Ski Descent of Aiguille Blanche du Peuterey - A Window into Our World, Ep 2

Filmer Luca Rolli: "The 14th of April 2013 Davide Capozzi, Julien Herry, Francesco Civra and Luca Rolli made the historical second descent with skis and snowboard of the east face of Aig. Blanche de Peuterey on the italian side of the massif of Mont Blanc. This exceptional steep descent was skied the first and only time by Stefano de Benedetti in June 1984. 29 years divide the two descents!" In italian, this face is called: 'La parete che non c'è' which means 'the non-existing slope.' During most of year the face is unskiable because there are too many rocks - it is possible to consider skiing it during the few days each year it's covered by snow. The team started from the Torino Hut during the night, traversed the Brenva Glacier in the dark and climbed the east face of Aiguille Blanche in 9 hours. During the descent, the quality of the snow was perfect with some really hard snow on the summit, powder in the upper fields and spring snow at the bottom. The descent is graded: 5.4 E4 50°+ 1300m
